As the Official Hotel Partner of the Buffalo Bills, Ellicott Hotels could not be more excited about the beginning of the 2016 season for our home team, the Buffalo Bills. We have been involved and working on things such as sponsoring the 2016 Buffalo Bills Schedule and hosting the Lucky Row Giveaway!
The start of this season brings some changes to what Bills’ fans have become accustomed too. What was once Ralph Wilson Stadium is now New Era Field. The team has added new players to the roster including Reggie Bush, Adolphus Washington, and Shaq Lawson.
Thursday, September 15th will be the Bills’ home opener against the New York Jets. As the first home opener at the newly named New Era Field, expect a lot to be going on! This game will also be part of the NFL’s Color Rush campaign, and the Bills will be sporting bright red uniforms. Country singer Darius Rucker will be in attendance to sing the national anthem. Don’t forget to arrive early for tailgating beginning around 4:30pm. Fans should be prepared for tensions to be high, as the Bills and the Jets have a known rivalry. The Bills have won the last five times they’ve played the Jets, so it should be a great game!
UPDATE: The score of the Bills vs. Jets game was 31-37 in favor of the Jets.
